Journaling is a powerful way of letting your consciousness on to the paper. Below are some of the ways in which it contributes to the cathartic nature of writing:

  1. Expression of Emotions: Writing provides a safe and private outlet for expressing complex emotions and thoughts that might be difficult to communicate verbally. By putting feelings into words, we can gain a better understanding of our emotions and begin to process and heal from them.

  2. Self-Reflection: Writing encourages introspection and self-reflection. When we write about our experiences, we often delve into our feelings, thoughts, memories, and perceptions. This process allows us to gain insights into our own motivations, behaviours, and patterns of thinking..

So, my dearies journal everyday. Since, we are anyway spending time doing it, the format that gives the best result is :

  • Writing three grateful things that happened during the day - helps make our perspective of the world positive and improves our feelings of gratitude

  • Any problems faced during the day

  • What is within you control in the problem

  • Affirmations - Reminding yourself that you are good, you are doing your best and you deserve all the happiness in the world.

So, what are you waiting for? lets get to it then :)
